It's hard to find any other individual who has given so much and risked so much in the service of the nation and his countrymen like a military veteran. These modern-day heroes have selflessly shared so much and have sacrificed some of the best years of their life, putting themselves in harm's way to fight for liberty and keep everyone safe.

However, despite all their sacrifice for us and for the country, it is all too common to hear sad stories about the plight of US veterans once they get back home from their tours of duty, especially those who were injured and disabled in the service of the country.

If you're one of the many disabled US veterans looking for information to help with filing VA claims and other needs, you couldn't have come to a better place! Disabled Vet Assistance (DVA) is a self-help and referral service that helps Veterans with access to information and forms needed to file VA claims and refers Veterans to Veteran Service Organizations (VSO's) close to them. DVA is not affiliated with or endorsed by Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or any other Veteran Service Organization and does not personally assist Veterans with filing a claim. Our purpose is to make it easier for Veterans to access information and forms needed to file claims and refer Veterans to the closest VSO when help is needed. DVA is not affiliated with or endorsed by any organization that is linked under the "More" section of the website with the exception of "Veterans Voice Blog".
Being a Disabled Veteran myself, I know first-hand, of all the hardships and hurdles veterans have had to endure overseas. When I got home after having sustained a service-connected injury, I experienced what it was like to go through all the steps in order to receive my VA claims. Along the way, I was helped by a Veteran Service Organization (VSO), and it was then I knew that once I learned everything I needed to know, that it was my turn to help other military veterans injured in the service of the nation, get the benefits they justly deserve.
